The u amed A le employee says that A le is working on merging the iPod with a cell phone, but don't expect anything soon. So far, so good. Sounds real enough. She goes on to say that A le will be su orting Blu-ray and that a Mac with built in Blu-ray drive might ship in Oct/Nov. I can see that ha ening. She then goes on to say that 'A le is a silo' and that A le employees find out about new products when they are a ounced, which I know is true for a vast number of A le employees, though this alleged A le employee is talking about products that have yet to be released. Red flag number one.
Now that we have our first red flag let's sally forth into the rest of her comments. She notes that the new A le monitors will have 'iChat built in' which, of course, makes no se e. I am a uming she meant build in iSights, which would make more se e though I would hope an A le employee would know the difference between the two products. She says that brushed metal will be gone in Leopard, and more integration and iChat features are the dealine items (which ji with what PowerPage reports, though rumors backing up rumors is much like a house built on sand).
The final nail in the coffin, for me at least, is that when asked about Zune (that's Microsoft's a wer to the iPod) she says that A le is encouraging them to include Bluetooth and Wifi because the device will then have a 30 minute battery life. She follows this up by saying that the next iPod will have Airport (aka WiFi) built in. Huh? I'm so confused, is WiFi a good or bad thing?
So, let's hear it, do you think this is legit or just some bored blogger looking for traffic?
