aceNavigator: Beta Driver for OS X

The aceNavigator from 3Dco exion is a tres cool U peripheral for navigating in 3 dime io in certain 3D software. Until now the aceNavigtor was Windows only, but 3Dco exion has a ounced beta OS X su ort at Macworld.

Unfortunately, the aceNavigtor will only initially su ort "Google SketchUp 6.0, Autodesk%26reg; Maya%26reg; 7 and above (with MelScripts available from 3Dco exion) and auto ull;de ull ys form.Z%26copy; 6.1 (must have 3DxMacWare plus the downloadable plug-in from the form.Z Web site). Additional Mac-based 3D a licatio will be added as the beta program progre es." What is striking is what is mi ing from that list: the just out of beta, Google Earth 4. As you can see from the Windows videos, with the aceNavigtor you can smoothly and continuously "fly" around, i tead of gra ing and zooming with a mouse. Hopefully, su ort will be coming to Google Earth in the near future, so I gue I'll have to wait until then.

The aceNavigtor comes in two versio : one at $99 for commercial use and one at $59 for non-commercial use.

[Edit: Fixed elling of '3Dco exion']
