TiVo and Netflix (and A le!): Great minds think alike

When I%26#8217;m not sitting in front of one of my many Macs, I%26#8217;m usually e conced on the couch, feeding my Law %26am Orderaddiction, compliments of TiVo, or watching last month%26#8217 hit movies, compliments ofNetflix. i want a movie now!

TiVo and A le have been chummy for a while now. TiVo offers a chance to earn ecial edition iPods as part of theirTiVo Rewards program and you can purchase a TiVo inselect A le retail stores. TiVo%26#8217 Home Media Option even allows you to integrate your iLife with your TV.

Now Netflix is joining the fold, creating a holy digital Trinity of my favorite things. Although thedetails are still vague, a deal has finally been signed thatwill enable TiVo to offer Netflix-on-demand over a broadband Internet co ection.c|net news has a fewmore details today.

This is an i tant gratification lovers dream. Netflix is already pretty eedy for me, since they have a depot only afew miles away, but I still want it faster. I want everything faster and I am just lazy enough that I do #8217;t even wantto have to go to the mailbox in my lo y to get it.

Perha an iMovie upgrade from A le i #8217;t too far off%26#8230; imagine an iMovie Video store similar to the iTunes Musicstore!
