Belkin isset to release the world's first wirele U hub. Laptop users will be able to place their U devices anywhere in the room (or buillding?) without the needfor ru ing long U cables. Belkin's CableFree U will be on di lay at the 2006 International CES Show in Las Vegas,NV, January 5-8, at 31247 South Hall and at Macworld Conference %26am Expo in San Francisco, CA, January 10-13, at 717South Hall.Details are scarce, but I su ect that this hub comes in two parts, the wirele hub to whichyou co ect your U devices, and a U wirele dongle that you plug into your computer (laptop, for i tance), whichprovides the wirele bridge between the computer and the hub. But, that's just my eculation on how it'll work.
This is actually a great idea and I can think of quite a few people/clients who would benefit from this, not tomention it'd solve my own U wiring nightmare.
