Co umer Reports weighs in withtheir review of A le's new iPod Hi-Fi sound system and gives it a fairly lackluster rating, calling it a "mildlydisa ointing" entry with %26quot o-so sound quality" in the iPod sound system game. They also didn't like itshefty weight (15l ) and relatively poor sound performance when compared to competing products.

The magazinedid like the easy-to-use remote control and the unique power-saving features of the iPod Hi-Fi but in the end didn'tsee much of an advantage over competing products already on the market like the Altec iM7 and the Bose SoundDock.
