Scott Steve on of Cocoa Dev Central has an exte ive (i.e. long and interesting) post on the year in Macintosh development. He discu es a variety of hot topics including the tra ition to Intel, the controversy over Macheist, the a arent deprecation of the Human Interface Guidelines, and much else to boot. With the i talled base of Macs going up and exciting new technologies coming out of Cupertino I think his conclusion is basically right when he says that there's "never been a better time to make Mac software." I'm looking forward to seeing what the great Mac devs out there come up with in 2007 (Incidentally, Steve on's blog Theocacao looks great).[Via Ranchero]
